全球医院管理调查（GHMS）采用《世界管理调查》（WMS）和双盲调查方法，是中国首次应用定量、精确、国际化、行之有效的方法，测量中国医院管理水平。GHMS通过建立国际标准化的中国医院管理数据库，全面系统地考察中国医院管理水平在世界管理坐标系中的定位，分析产生医院管理水平差异的因素，并应用实验经济学的研究手段，从标准化运营、目标管理、绩效管理、人才管理四维度，首次探索医院管理水平提升对医院绩效影响的因果关系，进而为公立医院改革、现代医院管理制度的建立提供科学、客观、准确的实证依据。

The Global Hospital Management Survey (GHMS), adapting the World Management Survey (WMS) methodology and double blind interview procedure, is the first to carry out a quantitative, rigorous, and international validated study, to provide scientific and systematic evidence for developing modern hospital reforms and hospital management in China. The database produced from GHMS will enable us to analyze Chinese hospital management level’s international rankings and influences, and to conduct a deep analysis of Chinese hospital management and determinants to provide an empirical basis for the development of relevant policies to improve hospital management quality. This project will also conduct experimental economics studies at every dimension of hospital management: standardizing care, performance monitoring, target setting, and talent management. From the empirical analysis angle, it is the first time to test the causal relations between hospital management level and hospital performance through randomized control trail experiments in hospital management area. Recommendations from GHMS can help strengthen hospital management, better shape local health governance, and iteratively inform national health policies in China.
