The Role of Societal Capital in Reforming Public Hospitals Funded by The State Council Health Reform Office
Commissioned by the State Council, this project conducted an in-depth analysis of how market forces can play an important role in promoting public hospital reform. Follows the basic principles of the State Health Reform Blueprint published in 2009, this project concluded with three primary recommendations. First, public finance may face less pressure with greater role of market forces in healthcare. Second, greater market supply may better serve the increasing demand. Third, market forces may help create better conditions for public hospitals to engage more healthy competitions and development.
