Dr. Sun was graduated from the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Ph.D. degree in Economics in 2017. Her dissertation is titled as “Investigation of Causes and Evaluation of Programs: Three Applications of Health Economics” under the supervision of Prof. Wen You and Prof. George Davis. It included a systematic review of the effectiveness and cost of lifestyle intervention with a nutrition education for diabetes prevention, an analysis of the effects of household relative deprivation on child health and an analysis of well-being in food activities. She joined in the China Center for Health Economic Research in June 2018. Her research interests cover health inequality, socio-economic determinants of health, evaluation of healthcare reform and economic analysis of time use.
